are you adding from the car?
you should add the car to the iphone
so on the iphone, go to settings
general
bluetooth
and it starts searching
you are looking for BMW (the last 5 digits of your VIN number)
and i think the code is 0000 on the bmw
that or 1234

I ordered the iPod/USB combo too and I'm curious about this. But, don't you think it's only made for iPod? Just curious, I want to get an iPhone too.

If you have the iPod option, it would have come with a "Y" cable. The "Y" cable MUST plug into BOTH the USB and the AUX port in the center console. Plug the iPod (or the iPhone) into the "Y" cable and you should see your iPhone show up in the navigation screen under CD/Multimedia.

If you don't see it, I would suspect that you have a bad "Y" cable (as I did) and the dealer will swap it out for a new one.
