For just pure power, RPi cannot be beat IMO.

I know this thread is about max hp for exhaust sytems but I'm thinking about getting the encore innovation X-pipe with high flow CAT's and a Remus Race exhaust. No ECU reflach yet or any other mods for a while. What do you guys think the hp/tq gain will be? Any dyno's out there with this set up??

I'd keep the stock cat back and get the encore. I think it's a bang for the buck no drone wow sound and 15 to 20 hp with the high flows with no cel. Rpi and fab has cel ringing everday and the gains are give or take 5 to 10 hp with drone and loud. Anyone?

Please elaborate. I have the first Fabspeed high flow cat replacement and Xpipe and I have no cel. I picked up 33hp with their setup and tune. Stock exhaust still. Sound is definately healther but not too loud and no drone too. Why do you come on here with your misinformation?

Sorry fella's for my ignorance, but what is CEL? I'm confused on the last two posts. If I go with the Encore Innovation highflow cat X-pipe and stock muffler, I'll get about 14% or so? The other ones are too much $$ for what I want and non-legal so that'll be a pain to deal with yearly. I guess I could keep the stock pipes, swop them out for State inspecion time and then swop back the pipes for the year. Only a an hour or so of work.

CEL is "check engine light". Encore and Fabspeed both claim to not set the light. I believe Encore is about $300 less than Fabspeed. Fabspeed uses larger 4" HJS cats if I am not mistaken. I don't think you can go wrong with either. The $ difference is pretty small. Just saying since you mention cost. Fabspeed is 3000 miles closer to the UK so ther emay be a bit of shipping savings. Not sure..... As for legality, both Encore and Fabspeed retain primary cats. Fabspeed can do resonators or not as well. Same legality. Just clearing up any confusion. Both products have the same legality. As does Active's with HFC. However, they have gotten codes. It remains to be seen whether Encore or Fab code in the future. So far so good though.
Good luck! Quote:

Thanks, CEL = Check Engine Light. Makes sence now. Well sure is a tough choice. I'd rather have the EI x-pipe but don't want to deal with the check light, although if it works as advertised, all one has to do is swop out the pipe for inspection. With the fabspeed, there is cutting involved and if one didn't pass inspection, which fabspeed says it will, then you got a problem on your hands. I don't see a perfect answer yet. Maybe more reports will come in like you said with these two systems and then one can make a better choice. I'm gonna have to wait on this one for a while.

Rob,
The Fabspeed pipe is a full bolt on. No cutting. Only their mid section X pipe requires cutting. Mine is the full, which includes the high flow primaries. You could get the Fabspeed midsection for around $600 and retain stock cats. That is 1000% not going to code. You don't touch the front cats. That is what you refer to. I don't want to cut the stock exhaust so I opted for the full bolt on. Did you look at the pictures I posted? Check my thread..... Quote:

Yes, I did check out your photo's and thanks for the info. I'm not sure yet on what way to go, I'm thinking as long as it'll pass emissions as I've heard from Fabspeed and a few others that have 2nd cat delete and still pass inspections no problem and no codes, that it sounds like the way to for for me with no hassles. I sure like the looks of that EI pipe you got on there. Bet is sounds nasty! Any sound clips for the enjoyment?
