Resonator Or Muffler Delete?

Has anyone tried a muffler delete or just a resonator delete? Maybe a combination of both?

there are videos on youtube while people are taking there old exhaust(muffler) off and start the car up. Wouldnt think anyone would run without one at all?

Ive seen that video. I didn't mean the whole exhaust system, I meant just the muffler box or resonator box maybe even a combination of both.

Taking off the resonators makes the note more rattly. I had my secondary cats removed together with the resonators and it sounded real mean. Had a little more rasp but I love it. So it really depends.

Do you think it will sound nice....with everything in place but only resonator deleted? I mean I don't want it to be LOUDDDD, but i want the exhaust note to be a little bit more noticeable. I know a lot of 328s and 335s have experimented with such modifications.

I took my mufflers off, just for grins and it's way loud in the cabin, however I'm wondering if it will still have a good tone if I had pipes fitted up to exit the rear, basically a muffler delete pipe. That way I could put tips on it and the rear end wouldn't look odd.

I did a resonator delete. It does not make much difference, althought the car does sound a bit healthier and raspy. I actually like it. Videos never sound like the real thing....so dont base your opinion on a video, try to hear one in person. That is what i plan to do before buying an exhaust...

All in all, for the $80 or so it cost me to do the resonator delete, I am happy. Like I said, it is not a lot of difference, but it helped.

i have a question regarding the stock muffler box. I dont know where exactly, but i either read or saw something stating that the muffler box is a bolt on or something and i can just easily remove it without actual cutting of the pipes. Is this true?

The rear section is bolted using 1 clamp on each pipe just after the resonators
See it here
