Viga,

I like where you went with your idea and the outcome but I do have to agree with some points as the car looks unfinished and takes away from your idea. I would purchase real CF mirror covers and purchase a real CF hood and redo the paint. I also think that a different selection of rear spoiler would be a good idea as it doesn't really go with the lines of the car. I understand that rally part and I think you are close to getting your theme right...it just has a few flaws that once fixed could really make the car. I already like the theme and idea behind it...reason being that it is unique and not mainstream...well done!

Good luck and I hope that you take some of the harsher comments to heart and constructive.

Michael

Julian's car give a much nicer look to the car! You are at Westmont? I would love to swing by at look at the car. It takes a lot of work to fabricate your own stuff!

Very flashy. If that was what you were aiming for, good job.
If there is a category for "Most Flashy M3" I would vote yours for
car of the month!!!

+1.
Unfortunately I don't understand why the overlay doesn't cover the mirror. The cover was probably never removed to put the overlay.

The trunk spoiler doesn't do it for me. The roof spoiler is probably too aggressive, but I don't think many of us have wind tunnels available to check that.

I mean I find myself wondering whether the wheels are replicas because of the overall look. The CF overlay + CF Vinyl + Vinyl bits you'd be better off without.

The positive aspect about these cars being so expensive outside the US is that it creates a sense of respect about what went in on the R&D side.

Hm.. A+ for the effort cant even imagine how much time you must have invested.
My .02 cents roof spoiler needs to be black it disturbs the flow of the black hood, CF roof and the rear tinted windshield!
I am overall not a big fan of trunk spoilers perhaps next you can design your own trunk lid..I would be interested to see!
Would love to see what diffuser and spliters you come up with!

Overall, I dont like it at all! that spoiler is ridiculous looking!

I think the worst part might be these stickers you placed on the rear bumper.

BTW, of all the mods you have done, I do think the calipers arent too bad. Its 1 step better then those ugly fake Brembo covers you can get off eBay. I only say it is better because you arent trying to make it look like Brembos

I'm not a fan at all...but if it excites you...that's waht matters. I could deal with it without the wing and hood paint scheme. The Cf overlays...no good....calipers covers...hmmm. OK, i'll stop. Glad you're happy with it.

well...i thinks some of the things you've done are ok. i really like the roof spoiler, but the carbon mirror covers are terrible. so are the side vent covers and the caliper covers. you can buy all of these things in either real carbon fiber and you can have your caliper painted. the vinyl on the hood also looks cheap. you could have that painted instead. the rear spoiler also looks terrible. it looks like some cheaply done honda civic. please understand that i know what everyone likes in a car is different from one another and i am not dissing you style its just you choices in materials. they are super cheap looking. sorry but its just my opinion

the car itself is very nice, the mods however are not so. the window spoiler looks great. the trunk spoiler no and the caliper covers are a no also. but if you like it, thats all that matters at the end of the day

Vigo,

You have great initiative. For a BMW those spoilers seem a bit too flashy to me. But who cares if nobody else likes the wings. If you like them then that is all that matters. I do like the brake caliper covers though. It's something BMW should have done to begin with.

Good luck, and may the modding bug be kind to you.

To each their own. A little overkill.
I've seen people on lesser violations.

This will be blasphemous, but with all those perceived low cost parts it actually looks like a distant cousin of the GTO.

Only thing I would keep are the PS2s for the next set of rims.

I am not building rally car,so there is no need to go for weight savings I went more for looks. I do agry with your opinion it`s overdone in same point, but do like my idea for caliper covers. Anyway, all the vinyl it`s easy to pull of, that`s no problem I just want to know yuo guys opinion and will make adjusments.Thank you for your`s opinion.

The Wing Needs to go.... you fly faster on the ground then in the air.....

The Carbon Stickers really need to go from everywhere, bumper, wheels, lens..... everywhere.

Hey PM me, I live downtown, but looks like we know a lot of the same people. I would like to check out some of your stuff in person. I know Andre with the M5 from Westmont, but currently get service done at Perillo, maybe I'd switch over

I'm not saying it looks good on an M3, but on a race car... Maybe if it was more subtle, a lot more subtle.
+1 about the photo quality. You should use the pics that wheelsto posted of your car. Improves it a lot IMO. Anyways, I know theirs another member on here that tried the DTM style wing which actually didn't look to bad. I think his name was watrob, not 100% sure. Yours is a bit to much for my taste.
But like others have said, If you like it, thats all that really matters.
