They asked me if I wouldn't mind lending them my set for them to introduce at Bimmerfest on May 2nd so it looks like I'll be waiting another couple of weeks.

Thanks - it looks like they will be making a stop at bimmerfest before I get them the following week, so I think I should (hope) to have them installed by May 8th and I'll be doing a decent shoot that w/e.

I have no interest in the debate regarding the quality of DPE vs HRE. HRE has been around a while and does a beautiful job on the machining and finish work; DPE I know nothing about. That said, my interest is regarding your knowledge or inferences regarding the HRE TUV program. Are you implying that the HRE wheel is tested in any way to TUV standards or is produced under any TUV certification(s)?

I do know a little about the fairly recent advent of forged blanks coming into the market and being cut and finished by a variety of wheel companies. I have no interest in clarifying the considerable amount of misinformation being thrown around, just interested in learning something I may not be aware of otherwise.
