Performance Friction PF01 pads ???

Hello,
I've seen people in this forum who states that we can get Performance Friction PF01's brake pads for our E9X M3. If so, can you please let me know where to get them and provide part numbers if possible?

Thanks, Vincent

I don't think they're out, yet. We'd have heard from JamesC if they were. Bimmerworld should have the first available.

Thanks.
What about Carbotech XP12? Have you ever heard good comments for the E9x M3?
I've been looking around for a post on them but I can't find anything.

Thanks again, Vincent

Until they become available (PFC told me this Summer) the Porterfield distributor, strange I know, will custom cut PFC pads to pattern in a pinch.

They did this for me for the Brembos on my Cayman. They cut and mill a large blank pad to the shape you need. Mine fit well.

Cutting pads not a great solution - plenty of issues there and not something I would do.

Carbotech in the short term - we have the full line.

PFC will be a 918 and 919. I have the test pads on my car (did before the BBK) and they are in the production pipeline.

James,
I'm interested to learn the drawbacks with cut pads, fit and precision?

Very nice.

Please send me a set of 06s ASAP. Is that what we'll have available for the e9x cars? I'll take your used ones, thank you very much.

PFC has not replied to my request for info on availability. I don't want to go Pagid if I don't have to.

Cut pads - depends on how it is done. PFC spend a lot of money on race backing plates and so me of the mods I have seen for "cut pads" make it pretty rough. Not really the true PFC experience.

Joe - expect to have 01 and 06. Check back end of month. My test pads were 83, made for the owner's wife's 7 Series...
