I bought from Alderson European Motors in Lubbock, TX. With that said, this was their only '08 M3 left. I already asked.

I got my M3 for free, just paid taxes and and gas guzzler tax....the dealer almost begged me to drive the M3 off their lot.....imagine that!

no payments for me.....I ended up financing the taxes over 72months at 2.99%

Did you deal with Gary Hays? I live in Amarillo and am trying to work a deal with him. They do have an 08 sedan left, but it's pretty bare bones...

I had a print out of the EXACT same car that I did a buy-it-now on from eBay at $49,900 this morning but the dealer would not honor (long story, separate thread). His manager would not match the price, but he went over his head to the GM and he said sell it! BMWNA doesn't have any special finance offers with this deal, but I got a 3.99% interest rate for 60 mos. from Pentagon Federal Credit Union! www.penfed.org I checked it out this morning after reading about it on m3post. I paid the $25 to join, and I was literally approved within minutes after submitting it online. I will have the check tomorrow in time for a pickup in the afternoon.

.. Awesome deal ... but I wonder how you landed up with $64,395 as being the invoice for your car given the options in your signature (ZPP, ZTP, 19-inch). Even using the 2009 confidential wholesale price list posted on bimmerfest yields only $60,895 for an M3 E92 for ZPP+ZTP+19"+GGT+destination (and the 08s base prices were actually cheaper which means it would've been even less). Of course .. if you had more options that you didn't list in your signature .. my calculations are off.

Either way it is a great deal OP (even for a launch car) ..... and so is the deal that a poster pulled off for 15K+ (off MSRP) on a DCT equipped car .. is also equally amazing. Those are tough to locate and even more difficult to negotiate since it opens up that car to a much larger market than the traditional manual ('08 DCT sedans sold out almost by Oct '08 ... to give you an idea of how versatile they were).

Enjoy in good health my friend ... and don't forget how lucky you are ...

EDIT: I missed Melbourne Red (metallic paint) ... add $500 bringing the '09 invoice total to $61,395

Yes, your calculations are off... OP's car is one of the Melbourne/Bamboo introduction M3 Coupes, which were almost fully loaded (only the M-DCT was missing) at $69745 MSRP.

The $7500 rebate is offered by BMW. Does that have an affect on the dealer? Reason I ask is because i was offered $12k off $67200 = $55200 2008 M3 coupe. It has the following:
Premium package, Tech, cold weather, park distance control, prem sound, and metallic paint. I couldn't find the '08 invoice pricing, so I used the '09 instead. And their price not including the $7500 rebate ($62700) is still over invoice price. Not to mention, the car has 2100 miles on it and has been on the lot for about a year now.

Think about that for a second... the OP got a $69,745 MSRP M3 Coupe with some 200 miles for $49,900. You are talking about a lesser $67,200 MSRP M3 Coupe with around 10 times the mileage.

Don't you think that perhaps an offer starting south of $49,900 will be a much better idea? After all, if you substract the $7500 from your $55,200 then you will be around where you are supposed to start your offer considering the mileage of that M3 and its current MY2008 sales/tank situation..

Ya got me. I actually made it up so I could get attention on M3post.com. LOL! I simply posted the info to pass along to others that might be able to get the same deal. If you think I'm lying that's cool. I wasn't looking for an award. Some dealers will still keep their vehicles priced high because they're idiots. Give Critz BMW a call in Savannah, GA. They were the ones that originally told me about the rebate. Here's the link to the car that was sold out from under me:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=110364815862

I doubt my dealer made it up to impress me, and I also doubt that they were willing to take a $15,000 loss from the invoice to the selling price. Again, I posted the info in an attempt to help others, not to gain acceptance. I could post a copy of the sales invoice, but I'm sure someone would accuse me of making it in MS Paint.

As for the equipment on the car, it's listed below:

*Melbourne Red Metallic
*Beige Novillo Extended Leather
*Premium Package
*Technology Package
*19" Wheels
*iPod & USB Adapter
*HD Radio
*Satellite Radio
*Enhanced Premium Sound

The invoice price that I quoted was directly from the dealer. He had no problem showing me what invoice was on the car. Their first offer was invoice less the $7,500. I showed them the auction that I won on eBay, and the GM said he'd match it. Again, this is most likely not going to be a deal that's just offered up front, and I have said all along that even with the rebate this is still a rare deal to be had. Most dealers do not want to take the added lost past invoice and the $7500 rebate.

alpineweiss .. actually I did hear about these rebates ... or "trunk money" as I would call it on different forums .. including some reputable posters on bimmerfests. There was trunk money on '08 M3 M5 and 550i. Many sales folk may not know about it ... you may have to run up the chain and force them to take an internal look ... as these trunk money incentives are "dealer only" and not published to general public for the fear of brand devaluation. Unfortunately, my heart is dead set on 4-doors and DCT (which sold out long ago) and I want to do Euro-delivery too (imagine the M3 on A-bahn and the German Alpenstrasse) so I really can't take advantage of these deals.

Now the 20K off the OP got .. is really .. really .. something ... and well it just makes me recall the statement .. "if it's prob. too good to be true .. it just may be ...". Not saying it didn't happen ... but if the dealer was that desperate to get rid it .. KNOWING that all he needed to do was re-advertise the car for 58K on the internet .. to generate so much buzz ... I wouldn't be surprised if there was a hidden agenda! Nonetheless .. I am a paranoid freak when it comes to super expensive gadgets .. so my fears are probably .. well .. just fears.

But don't count on getting such a deal. I would still say 12-15K of MSRP should be doable. Also note that borrowing costs are very low (for businesses) and the stock market, housing market and consumer sentiment may be turning a corner .. and with summer driving season approaching many dealers may be hoping they can pull off a better deal.

Also note that unlike lease deals .. trunk money can be pocketed by the dealer before it expires. All they do is punch the car .. reporting it as sold and get the money. However, the warranty clock starts then. I was able to almost get in to a Z4 M coupe a couple of years ago for 19K of MSRP (with 12K trunk money) this way. So do keep searching .. the longer you wait .. typically the better the deal.

Good luck ... !

There are some dealers that don't sell cars on the internet. My dealer has never listed a car on eBay.

Sorry for trying to help. The $7500 rebate doesn't actually exist, and I paid sticker for my car. There, now everyone can go back to thinking it never happened.

i tried to go buy one - e90m3 "executive demo" it had 4k miles on it. purchase price came down to like 49k. But they were forcing me to finance at least 10k through BMW FS. The best rate for ULTIMATE credit or whatever was 7.25%. I really only wanted to put 10k down and after we worked the numbers out, i was going to be spending 900+/month on a used car. The numbers just didnt add up. =(

the monthly payments would have been less with the 7500+ to the price but with the 0.9% financing we were seeing (and those cars weren't used)
