what virus protection do you use?

i used to use norton, then i deleted it because it was making my computer so slow.
i have not hat a virus scanner in ages and wondering what everyone else uses.

post it up!

Symantec Antivirus Corporate.

Also, AVG is pretty good.

You definitely need some sort of virus protection if you're connected to the internet. AVG has a free version. Get one of them on your system and run a virus scan. TODAY !!

Nod32 FTW. it works well and uses very little resources. the full install package is only something like 30MB!

I just scanned with that AVG and after 2 years with no virus protection I still don't have any virus'.

no thread jack, but didn't want to start another thread.

have only used norton that usually comes with the compuater from factory and extended after trial ends.

since now i restored my pc, i deleted the norton that came with it. besides the AVG mentioned above, are there any other software protections i should use? spyware malware adware etc... not really techy in this kinds of stuff so someones please shed some light, greatly apreciated. or maybe should just start a new thread?

Lavasoft Ad-Aware
SpyBot Search & Destroy

Both are good at finding adware/spyware.

i used to use mcafee virusscan enterprise and adaware lavasoft free

but then for some reason one day they both crapped out on me- so now i just use AVG

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (for scanning)

AND

Spyware Blaster (for blocking)

Make sure to update each one manually a few times a month.
