Any one replace their stock wheels with 20inch? Any recomendations Melb.

I just recieved my 20" 360 Forged Mesh 8's all matte black from the States. Hope to install them in the next week or so!

Isnt it better to have black inners on not polished? Especially on a black wheel? I thought that was done on purpose

I am a big fan but not when I get 3-5 phone calls a day about customers being ripped off!

Black inners are common on 1 piece wheels to not be able to show imperfections.
D you still have the sexiest Vert with or without wheels

Thank you, the wheels do it tho IMO. With my stock 18s, the car doesn't look half as good!

So what imperfections would black inners hide?

Hi All,

When one talks about "inners" I assume we are talking about the inside area of the rim that the tyre sits over?

I can tell you that my wheels had only the leading edge on the inner of the front & rear of the wheel painted black. The 6"-8" in the middle of the two outside edges were bare metal with a clear silicone coating so you could see the join of the two parts of the rim. The finish of this area to me seemed OK and the tyre fitters made know comment other than to say they were some of the best wheels they had seen. The company I used (and have used before) mainly fit tyres on Mercs & BMW's.

Actually I thought it strange that the whole inner wheel was not painted but I then realised it needed the silicone area for the join to be air-tight and you would have trouble painting over it.
