I looked around a little bit and found some potential options backing plates to get air onto/into the rotors (obviously the rest of the intake needs to be in place, I think this has already been tackled in other discussions). I'm offering these up as some options, but I'm quite fine with being told "what the hell were you thinking, that will never work."

(other goodies on the same site)

Some Corvette kits - I'm not sure how much modification will be needed, but they aren't all that expensive. They also have kits for other vehicles, it's possible that they'd make a custom kit for the E9X.

Here's a discussion on some relatively affordable Porsche backing plates, and a separate link for retrofitting the parts to a NSX.

Do any of these seem to be reasonable options?

I called Turner a few weeks back and they said that they are working on a backing plate. It's probably best to wait for that rather than try to piece one together yourself.

A full brake duct system is available from motorsport. Don't know the part numbers.

But the set with inlets, back plates exlc. ducting is abouth 1300 Euro.

I made em my self.

Junior, how about making a kit to sell at a reasonable price. Not like the Motorsport price?

Junior, can you tell me what were the results. Did you notice that the brakes got better after you have put your DIY braking ducts? I am thinking of doing the mod, but I would like to know the effects from someone who has done it on E92 M3. Thanks a lot.

Nice job.
Did you have to remove the backing plate to cut the hole for the duct?

Wonder how much that piece costs and if it will fit the stock system?

should be plug and play -- except you might need to cut some holes to mount the inlet beneath the bumper.

Ran my first HPDE in my E90 M3 this past weekend (w/ SRF fluid and Carbotech pads) and experienced no brake fade. Ran about mid pack or better in Advanced run group, on R compound tires, so wasn't exactly going easy on the brakes (though could've been harder on 'em). No other mods aside from those mentioned, and car fared very well and behaved great.
