That's already a replica of the $2,650 ACS one!

Nice spoiler, that's what I'm looking for for my Sedan (BMW Performance will be releasing one like that for the Sedan)... the price not nice at all.

I think they already did, I remember seeing pics on here from another member with an E90 and CF spoiler from BMW Performance.

Found it:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...ght=cf+spoiler
it's a bit different design from the 3D one

There's another one not offered yet that looks like Greg's 3D spoiler but OEM and for the Sedan (it was shown in the last Performance video)...

Wow, that's effing HAWT!!! That'll be next for me right after an exhaust. Although I have a feeling there's gonna be knockoff's in a few months just like there are knockoff's of 3D Design & Vorsteiner cf front lips.

As for removing oem trunk spoiler, all you have to do is get some Goo-Gone (apply it around the edges), wait a few mins then use dental floss (yes, I'm serious) to wedge it underneath the oem spoiler & voila it's off. That's the quick part...the tedious part is removing the excess double-sided foam tape remaining on the trunk. And yes I speak from experience since I removed one on my buddy's 135i to install the BMW performance cf spoiler for him.

So true. There is no way to sell a real dry carbon part for less than $2K. The equipment needed (autoclave) and production costs are far greater than rapping a fiberglass part in carbon weave material.

Typically replica parts are made of the FRP/carbon.

The 3d spoiler looks very nice on your car. It looks like they have a good attention to detail.

Loving the look... Greg!

Dry carbon, if you can afford it, is amazing.... ACS dry carbon parts are top-notch.
The 3D splitter on the E9X M3 front lip is dry carbon and the quality is superb.

We support Original Parts!

The 3D Design is actually quite original. They came out with the design for the regular E92s before AC Schnitzer announced its M3 line.

I love that spoiler! Exactly what I'm looking for but don't know about spending that much.

Congrats! Car looks great.

Yes I would be as long as it's a 1x1 cf weave, has clearcoat (instead of just UV coating) & fitment is the same as the real deal.

Uhh, why exactly? It's the same material the BMW made the roof with. It's beautiful to look at and not large enough to be a weight or structural issue.

Just the weaves come out looking better than the wet laid piece

The weave is EXACTLY the same as the roof. Non-issue, IMO. "Dry carbon" is a sexy term, but get real! Look at my two close-up photos and tell me what you fault. ACS (not sure if it is dry carbon, for sure) is $2,650. 3D, around $1,000. If "better looking weaves" is worth $2,600/sq. ft. (90/sq. in./$1,650 x 144) to you, go for it! Enough said.
