Up until recently, the Macht Schnell S65B40 filters were limited to US models, european models were left with very little selection for a solution on a performance air filter.



Macht Schnell has released their euro S65B40 filter adapters to allow the Macht Schnell S65B40 M3 High Performance Air Filters to fit properly within euro airboxes. Constructed from high quality ABS plastic, these will fit into the centering pin indentation on your filter for a perfect fit.

US-imported M3s will not need this item. To be used with our Macht Schnell S65B40 M3 High Performance Air Filter (not included).

Edit: M3 models produced from 9/2009+ are now equipped with the EU airbox and will now require the euro S65B40 adapter for proper fitment.

The MS65B40 filters are made up from an 8-layer construction with an approximate 1.5" pleat depth. As reference - K&N & aFe's depth measurement is only about 0.75" on their panel filters. K&N does not offer a S65 filter at this time.

Pleat count & depth play very important roles in filtration - while providing maximum airflow, in a safe and efficient manner.

Expect a 5-7hp realistic gain on the street.

I have it.. it definetely does sound meaner. great product! it could just be in my head but i think i actually felt a difference..

Since the airbox lid was already removed for the filter swap, this was the perfect time to test-fit our new Carbon Fibre airbox lid in 1x1 weave

Yes, the filter will come pre-oiled, ready for installation.

Most times you will only need to shake the dirt out of it, we recommend reoiling on an as-needed basis or every 15K miles.

K&N would probably be the easiest to find over the counter, but any oil suited for cotton gauze filters would work (K&N, AFE, etc).
