I personally would have an 1198R... when it comes out
+1 Besides, I don't care if the BMW, gixxer, CBR, or whatever has XXX hp and does the 1/4 mile in XXX sec. There's far more to motorcycling than that. As for the track, the rider is a significant factor, if not the primary factor.

I think BMW makes some cool bikes but I'll stick with my 999R!

Are you saying you have a 999R? If you do, post pics!! I think it's the most beautiful Ducati to ever to hit the streets

Yes, I have a 2006. I'll try to post some pics this weekend. The pictures I currently have are of poor quality. I'll be gone all day tomorrow so will try to take some shots on Sunday.

A couple of pics of my '06 999R. My pug decided that he should be a part of the 2nd pic!

in race #2, one BMW finished 9th, while the other didn't even make it to the starting grid. one of the Ducati Xerox 1098R's on the other hand finished 2nd, despite not winning. and a 1098R from another team finished ahead of the BMW too.
Keep in mind that this is BMW's first year in WSBK. I believe they said they are hoping to be in the top 10 this next year, then be competitive (as in able to get some podiums) the year after?
