Check if your struts are mounted and torqued correctly.

Hay its Will from WheelSTO! I used to be a BWM tech and I installed H&R springs and a H&R sway bar, I test drove it and herd a loud clunk!!! Later to find out the sway bar was to thick and was bottoming out on other suspension components causing a loud clunk! Do you have a upgraded sway bar installed?

I only installed the springs and it's solved now. I was so silly for not double checking the right sway bar link. ![]() |

I have the H&R springs install with spacers and also seem to hear alot more knocking up front. I had the BMW tech who installed the springs put the car back up on the lift and all the bolts on the sway bar and struts were tight, but still hear some clunking or knocking on uneven roads. I'm taking it in for alignment this week.
Anyone else experience this?? On smooth road and corners, there's no noise or sound. It only seems to make the noises on mildly uneven road patches (even at slow speeds) but it still seems excessive to me. Thanks for feedback. |
