Coupe --> Vert rear cup holder conversion

I ordered the vert rear center console in black from Tischer (P/N: 51 16 6 966 475, price ~$208 and change) to do the rear cup holder retrofit in the E92 M3 coupe. Just waiting patiently to get that piece in since I already have the cup holder for a while.

Will keep you posted.

The rear cup holders are really not cup holders. They might be able to hold a small bottled water, but that's about it. Since no one really sits in the back seat of my car anyways, I just decided to go for the cleaner, more uniform look.

Keep me posted too. I actually don't like how the E92/93 has no cup holders in the rear =/

Technically, we do have cup holders in the arm rest. The E93 has an additional cup holder in the center console, which holds small plastic water bottles:

Part 7 in the diagram in place of the black rubber insert

Right, all the verts get the rear cup holder instead of the tray found in the coupes.

Have not had time to pop out the old one yet. I might do it on Friday and post pics then.

anxiously awaiting. This mod should work on the all e92 right? there is not difference between M models and non M models interiors other than the leather and the seating used?

They share the same part number, so it would work in the regular E92s as well. We just need to figure out how that thing is bolted down before we try to yank it out. Looks like we'll have to pull the rear seat bottoms, and the saddle cushion below the rear arm rest / trunk pass through to get to all the mounting points of the rear center console.

Yes, that's standard procedure. Easier than I thought. Thanks Gelsenpower for posting it.
