sorry guys, personally thing the charger is a bust... thing is just ugly and the interior makes me want to puke...
IMO the mustang was the only car to pull off the retro look, everyone else failed *(american sports cars that is ) |

Russo, I am with you. The front bumper is too bland and looks like a large expanse of flat plastic. Year, just wait until the Camaro comes out in 2009. It will put the challenger and the mustang to shame. Put a LS2 engine it in and watch it tear up the roads.
I would love to have both the Camaro and the 135 in my garage but alas, my wife said that I can have only one large toy. So the 135i is it. But I will still have to wait.... |

6.1L HEMI SRT8 with a 6 speed!
If the auto does 0-60 in 4.9, I am thinking the MT with a good driver can best that a tick or two. Well under $40k too. The fact that some people are complaining about the interior of a MUSCLE car is pretty laughable. Those homos can go buy a luxury car. I am getting a black one for the driveway I do believe  |

Too bad its 4100 lbs and wont run the quarter mile much better than 14 seconds
I'd wait a year for the new Camaro Z28. 400+hp and tq for under $30k is going to be really sweet and it should only weigh about 3400-3500 lbs :headbang: |

hmmm, I guess if BMW markets the 1-Series sedan as a 2002tii retro, but fails to actually build a car that even closely resembles the original, it doesn't count as retro?

I was at Darlington over the weekend for the NASCAR races and the Challenger was the pace car. I would never buy one (or most American cars), but I have to say it's pretty sharp looking in person. I like it much better then the Mustangs, that's for sure.

This car just doesn't do much for me. It's 300lbs heavier than my GTO (which is already the upper limit for a sports coupe IMO) costs more, and isn't as fast. On top of that a lot of the interior items are parts bin stuff, and are awful (like the steering wheel and turn signal stalks for example).
It's not a bad looking car from the side, but I don't care for the front end at all. I'm assuming they're leaving some room for a major refresh in a few years. |

My work takes me to quite a few automotive manufacturing facilities and i got the chance to get into one of these (wandered into an area of the plant i think i wasn't supposed to be in :wink
up in Brampton Canada where they are produced. Honestly, the car is typical American muscle...crazy with power, yet try to turn and your done for. The colors were pretty nice in person and the SRT model looked pretty nice for being Retro. The rims where ridiculous (not sure if its good or bad) but i swear they looked as huge as the pimped out Escalade i saw curzin in south philly yesterday. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they were 21s'. As for the interior, i wasn't impressed at all, wasn't very creative. If your looking for an old throw back and have an attachment to the name go for it...if not i'd say keep looking..just my opinion.

![]() That first shot from head on looks terrible! The other angled shots with the fog lights on and the chin spoiler clearly visible do the car much better justice, IMO. It's cool to see these companies paying homage to their classic muscle cars. I just wish Dodge and particularly GM with the GTO and the Camaro had figured it out sooner. ![]() |
