storage/oil change = general quest.

General question on storage and oil change. I'm leaving for a little over 4 months this spring and my M3 will be garaged and covered. My big question is that I planned on doing an oil change at about 7,000 miles as I'm not to keen on the 15K factory interval. Should I change the oil before I leave as I'm still going to put about 500-1,000 miles at the most on it or wait until I get back as that oil will sit in the pan for 4 months??? Any thoughts on this would be great!

With the modern Synthetic oils and fact that that it will have only 1000 miles on it,you should be good to go.
