the V8 sounds delish.

Not sure guys, but yeah it does sound like a DCT. I love the sound and cant believe how quick the car looks!!! This can make up for Audi's covered S4 that I heard might be the RS5 at Detroit

+1,

The is no doubt we are listening to a dual clutch gearbox.

Can tell if it's any quicker than the previous RS4 but the thing seems to corner very level which is usually a good sign of fine handling. The M3 might has met it's match around the ring if you disregard the beating the GTR gave it.

Used RS4 for 70k? More like 50s now.

But, that RS5 sounds Godly.

And my god those shifts...

Chris the only reason I waited for the RS5 is due the bad power output for the S5...
That was the only deciding factor between an s5 and m3... All the reviews I've seen say it drives amazing and (evo, etc) so I figured the R model is what I want.

Over here in the UK you can get a 2007 RS4 for 30k...for comparison a brand new M3 costs 50k

Want to be really depressed, a similar car to my sept'08 E92 M3 is currently being shown in a local dealers for £35K. Admittedly that a manual car but on comparison I looked at RS4 and £30K is at rock bottom for a '07 RS4, most are booking at £35K.

This is the price we pay for BMW's popularity because in the UK there is 20 M3 for every RS4 on sale.

P.S.

For those who are interested, DCT M3 are currently commanding about £3~5K more than manual M3s. At least in the UK.
