Oil level normal?

After taking delivery of my M3 in Munich I hit the roads and
during that time the oil level read half way mark every time.

Was that ok? I tried to read it right after starting the car and the
response would be it couldnt read oil level at that time.

was it normal to have it half way mark during normal drive?

yes thats normal. your car needs to be warmed up first for the meter to read your oil level

Thanks for the reply.
I got the part of getting the car warmed up, but the oil level sounds
normal (half way mark) during my checks while driving or should have
read closer to MAX?

Hm, I would only add if the vehicle indicated.

Or you could take it to the dealer?

But yeah, I would expect some oil consumption, initially.

Mine was like that too, sometimes like 3/4 - doesn't seem very exact. Good to see you made it home in 1 piece, y'all have a blast?!

When I got my car, I looked at the oil level and it was on the half mark. It is normal.

Thank you guys. Glad to hear all was fine.

Driving the beast on the winding roads in the Alps was a fantastic
experience.

Going through withdrawals right now... and it has been
only a week or so since I dropped her off ...

if your oil level reads on the half way mark, its good, as long as the meter says OK then you're fine!
