10mm spacers all round

I might try 13mm on the rear to fill out a little more.

Regarding handling & ride comfort

Rise is marginally stiffer, feels a little tighter and planted. Little or no reduction in comfort.

I had it set up by a race team and they strung the car properly, factory was out especially at the rear. corner weights a little out (not adjustable)

After fitting springs corner weights much better, they reduced the toe in at the rear from factory and put 2mm toe out on the front. Cambers adjusted where possible (reduced ride height adds a little negative camber)

Turn in much better, steering feels weightier and more acccurate
Virtually eliminates float at speed
Body roll feels much reduced (I investigated aftermarket roll bars, it now feels much better and I am not looking any more !)
EDC seems better between settings, Normal is well balanced and my every day setting

Full stiff much better, no longer fidgety and bouncy if driven on a less than perfect road. When I am pushing on I choose full stiff and enjoy the hell out of it. Before I only got on with full stiff on the smoothest of surfaces as it simply felt unsettled

Adjustable susp now works, when driving hard the slight compromise on road surface transmission and stiffness is the right trade for a little more forgiving and surface absorbing ride. Both feel taughter and sportier

Overall I would say it's significantly better than stock and it looks much better too

I might try and raise the front 5-10mm as the weight balance does feel a touch more to the front (Spring drop 12mm F and 15mm R)

I tried 12mm rear spacers, fitted fine and looked great. I didn't expect to feel any difference. BUT I thought I must be mad it felt a little less together and seemed more unsettled at the rear a little less fluid and balanced.

Okay I thought, must be me, I checked with a few suspension Guru's to confirm my paranoia and they did just that 2mm per side increase in track, no way would I feel that on a road car, they didn't believe I would feel this on a race car.....

No problem I carried on and still felt the same about the car but grew to get used to it, didn't feel as bad after a few miles. It sort of changed from a very well balanced fantastic confidence inspiring car to 90-95% of that but with a little inbalance on turn in reminded me of a car with imperfect corner weights.

After a week I swapped back to 10mm to confirm my paranoia and guess what.........

The car feels better balanced, more fluid and more together on transition and weight transfer

Boy these cars are like Hi-Fi can't make sense of why a set of cables sounds different....

Any ideas !!!

This would solve my one concern with this mod. Raising the front end will restore the lower control arm geometry. What do you use to raise the front end? Rubber spring pads? Some other firmer material?

When looking at this Im can see no easy way.

One thing I was looking at was top mounts as the e39M5 I had ran DINAN top mounts and these raised the front (before adjustment from PSS9's at the time) by 5mm or so.

However the car is handling very well as it is at the moment and I may raise and not like the results !

Bottoming out with suspension dampers hitting bump stops or clearance with spoiler etc ?

I think he means clearence. Aren't these springs stiffer than stock anyway? Also, have you tracked the car with the new springs?
