1200 Mile service, has to be when computer says?

Hi all,

Quick question. Can I just take my car in right at 1200 miles and get the service, or does the car's computer need to say it's time before BMW will service it? I did a search and didn't find an answer to this question, but hopefully it's a quick and easy answer, thanks!

some call for with less than 1200 and some more. depends on how you drive it and how the car breaks in.

Driving my car back from the PC in Spartanburg I could stop for that service in Oklahoma City (Jackie Cooper BMW) at 1,050 miles or push on to PHX (~1,950 miles). The folks at PC and my local dealership strongly advised me to stop in OK City. So depending on the circumstances, that service can also be done a little before 1,200 miles (and the car's computer didn't call for it)
