New 18" rims stock??

I've noticed over the past few weeks that several 09 E92s have 18" stock in a much lighter color, just a shade darker than typical alloy wheels. In most cases i thought it was just a good picture showing rims brighter than they actually are but yesterday i parked right next to a 09 E93 and noticed this clear fact.
Do you have any evidence too?
I have a jan 09 delivery of a AW E92 with 18" CF, Black Leather, MDCT, PDC, Bluetooth, no M-Drive !

I was just at the dealership this morning having my tire looked at and I noticed this as well. They're like a grey, and the Euros are even darker. I <3 the Euros...

Mine seem darker than the 09 pictures I've seen, dunno.

pics please, mine (08) are dark grey and match my sparkling graphite nicely....

Awesome color combo BTW! That was my first M3. Even my wife loved its stealth and aggressive look. Classic IMHO.

yes but your Novillo Red........ is just beauty..... I really wanted the red interior, I had the terra in my 335, thats the closest I got to red lol...

I had to spice up the Space Gray. I just love the way to Sparkling Graphite has so much depth and color to it. Hopefully it will be back.

Well if they are lighter than the 08 18" wheels, then its good to know that the 08 models have something up on the 09 models since the 09 has the new iDrive lol. I love my dark graphite 18" wheels on the 08. Just wish I could have the high res screen and HDD of the 09 (could care less about the new knob/buttons)...

The Euro rims are not only different in colour but different in design and are much the better looking rims.

I wonder why BMW needed to make two design for the stock alloy but use only one design for the optional 19" rim?

I have not noticed any difference in the 18s from 08 to 09 here in the US. I have the 09and the rims are a dark gray/gun metal like.

I think they're the same. I'm working on a 09 M3 w/ 18s at the moment and they look identical to 08 M3 18s.
