Since winter is upon us and I havent really seen any e9x M3's around. Just curious what my fellow Canadians that are driving theirs through winter decided to go with.

So please post a pic!

I got Hankook W300s mounted on the stock 18s and they look great, still has the aggressive summer look (ie. staggered) but with the safety of riding on winters. Pics coming soon!

quite possible, im downtown but I hang out in etobicoke often!

Tirerack staggered A7 with Dunlop WS

I like the rear wheels. Wish the fronts had more dish to them.

Tires work great.

Drive in the winter...Oh yeah. Didn't make sence to lease a car for 3yrs and only drive it for two.

I don't have a pictures of my winter tires setup yet. Basically, I got Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero on stock wheels. They are fantastic and I am glad I got them installed before this really cold temperature that has been here in Vancouver, BC for a while. Just returned from frd's place and it's -12.5 out there right now@@

A friendly note and mabye helpful guys: Legaly the rims are not certified for the M3 and if something does go wrong BMW can revert all warranty as you
are not driving with certified rims, even if they are original BMW. As for replicas They look great but they´re also an official no go.
I know it really is & sounds stupid but this is official.

I'd think it only impacts you if you opted for the BMW wheel & tire warranty which makes sense... otherwise you'll be fine on the warranty for the rest of the vehicle. There is no way BMW would not honour a warranty on the car if you have aftermarket rims... I'm sure we would have read something on this board if so, seems like every M3 in California is riding on aftermarket 19s/20s!

The warrenty is only effected by the system modified. I am not a lawyer but this was clearly outlined buy Dinan during his presentation in Calgary in front of the BMW staff.

So if my radiator develops a leak, they cannot blame it on the snowtires. Lots of people up here use aftermarket snowtires.

yeah aftermarket wheels tires dont affect warranty unless they damage components directly related (i.e. wheel well, suspension etc...)

I don't know what dealer you deal with but your quote is false with my dealer.
Not only is my car still under complete warranty but i have the Road Hazard warranty for tires and rims and any aftermarket rims as well as any tires i buy are warrantied.

Pic from this morning of my winter setup, staggered Hankook W300s on the stock 18s. They worked well today aside from getting bogged down a few times in deep snow. Didn't get stuck though so no complaints so far.

The pic is actually from my parents house as we were there for a visit yesterday, the Lexus/Mercedes SUVs belong to them... there was way more snow at my house of course.

Funny story, I actually ended up on Global News last night (a puff piece on the weather/snow) as I got interviewed while I was shovelling/digging out my car on my street. If anyone saw a red E90 M3 on as part of the top story on Global News that was mine!

Ha ha Nice - you've only had the M a few days and its already brining you national fame!

Glad to see you are getting around in the snow no problem.

Had my car out today for the first time since last Thursday, so it hasn't really see the snow yet, other than the residual left over on my street.

youyou - those Gislaved look pretty agressive - I take it you havent had any problems in the Montreal snow? How are they for road noise at highway speed (I am guessing the V8 over powers any road noise anyways!

Ya they're very agressive! Never again will i get non studded tires...
So far they handle beautifully in the snow and i haven't had any road noise whatsoever yet...
The V8 does play in part in that

All the sets look great.

Lots of verts here - how do they handle in the snow with the winter tires? My e93 is in storage, but I had to move it the other day (only about 3kms) - I got stuck going up a slight incline. I got it out but not without doing some serious damage (to my marriage - car is fine

).

Youyou's looks so good, I'm considering driving it next winter.... what was cost?
