Anybody have extra revs with DCT ECU mod?
With most chiptuning you get extra revs with the MT.
From 8300 to 8600. My tuner (here in Europe) tells me it's not yet possible to get extra revs for DCT. We uploaded the some MT ecu 'parts' in my ecu and all hell broke lose! Stalling, delayed shifting error on the dispay loss of power, safemode...ect. It's caused by the software of the DCT giving error because the revs are to high.. ![]() Right now I have a sickass program in my ECU from BMW Motorsport I WAT MY 300 EXTRA REVS!!!!!!!!! ..(or more) Any tuners out there who have done it for DCT? Then I can give my arrogant tuner hell and make him work on it! |

Wow, replacing parts of the M-DCT software with MT software? Talk about brave and risky... Engine and transmission functions get completely intertwined in an automated manual. I wouldn't screw around like this at all. Good luck.

So we had to. It works fine, exept we had to lower the max revs. But we're working on it. Somebody has to do the development. ![]() |

So? Being able to stay in a lower gear longer adds a lot more thrust to the ground. You will be able to go faster.

Sure, I agree, you could probably safely push the engine to 8750, maybe 9k. Raising the redline was not what I was refering to but having a custom mix and match ECU software in a M-DCT with parts from a MT car.
