Any updates with this? Any guys in the USA have this done?

I am determined to get this onto my car, and will pay almost whatever it takes to get an idrive integrated OEM camera solution.

With the old iDrive, you can do NAVTV2GO with a back up camera. Any good car stereo shop should be able to install it for you. It's really not rocket science.

An actual integrated system would be preferable rather than a video interrupt.

We're working on this for the US market.

Camera is the easy part. Getting everything to work seamlessly is a different story. I'd rather not ship a half-finished product if it will bear our name on it.

e90 will be releasing first unless a universal camera is chosen.

Not Upset! just wonder why this mod is so difficult. I bet they would sell a ton of these systems. Most cars these days have this option....ie mini vans. The ero 3 90 series have this so the parts (directions) are available for this. We already know a 08 US spec E92 has been done.
Hope eas can do this b/c plug and play is not the answer.........

I don't think the OEM camera will work, but there is a solution if you would like to use aftermarket module ... That way you can have both front and rear cameras if you wish ...

Most probably the OEM rear camera retrofit coding is not available in the USA, although you can buy the hardware at the dealer.

There's one kit available at eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-G...fAudioQ5fVideo
