DIY on Foot Rest removal/Installatio

Hi everybody, I bought a set of pedals and the foot rest. I know how to install the pedals, but I'm confused on the foot rest. Do I need to remove the old M foot rest first, if so, how? Also, this foot rest requires me to drill some holes. So, if anybody has any insight on this, please let me know. Thanks

Many people tried to remove it but they ended up breaking them instead. I just drilled holes on it and installed the new dead pedal over it. Hope this helps.

I try not to use the word impossible but I think I'll venture out and say, its Basically impossible to remove it without breaking it
