E46 M3 Turbo support mods questions

I am currently leasing a 335i. Upon turn-in I am seriously considering purchasing a E46 M3 with the intent of installing a turbo kit from HorsePowerFreaks.

My questions are:
1. I know you will have to upgrade the clutch to hold the power but what about the transmission? How much HP/Tq can the stock 6speed tranny hold without problems?

2. How much can the stock rear end hold?

3. Open diff or LSD on e46 m3's?

4. The stage 1 kit claims to make over 700hp on the stock internals with race gas...seems a bit much for stock pistons and rods, has anyone popped a motor with the HPF stage 1 kit?

5. How many miles can a e46 M3 have on it before you would start feeling uneasy about turboing it, 30K, 60K, 100K??

Thanks,
-Curt

1. I don't know but there are a lot of aftermarket clutches available
2. People haven't had any problems thus far
3. Comes with an lsd
4. Haven't heard of a story yet
5. I would find the lowest miles as possible, but I've heard of cars with 60k miles getting supercharged, but HPF is a whole other story
go to M3forum.net
all the answers are there

I have been looking to also go this route. Some info I gathered along the way might answer some questions. As much as I know I was looking into the stg 2 kit. And that does change internals from what I was told. The clutch needs to be upgraded but the LSD and Tranny themselves are supposedly fine. Depending upon the previous owners treatment of them obviously. Low miles is defiantly something you will need to find for security in some senses. A great route to take just some wordS of advice. You are going to have a great car with NO WARRANTY! It might not matter but im just telling you before you go any further. Other then that you will defiantly need to throw some great tires on there to hold the power and HAVE A BLAST. keep US UPDATED.
