Average gas mileage of your M3?

I know gas prices are back down to reasonable and acceptable levels so it's not such a big deal anymore, but let's be honest, there's a better than average chance that gas will be back to near $3 a gallon by summer, and if not in the next year or so.

Sooo, just curious, on AVERAGE, in mixed city/highway driving what kind of gas mileage are you guys seeing in your M3's?
Now I know you are probably getting better gas mileage NOW in the nice cold air than in the heat of summer, so average between the two for me. Meaning if you are getting 1-2 mpg better gas mileage now in winter, post your results with 1 mpg off your current amounts to take summer temps/driving conditions into consideration.

Thanks.

Consistently 14.7mpg. 75%city/25%hwy 6mt, mostly shift at about 3-4k with the occasional romp. I think if your averaging 18+ you have to be doing quite a bit more hwy driving.

Yeah I pretty much figured 18 mpg average would be nearly impossible without doing 75% highway driving and even then, you'd need to be a pretty conservative driver.
But since there probably is a couple, I needed to add it.

In hindsight the poll should of been below 12 mpg, 12-13 mpg, 14-15, mpg, and 16+.

Maybe I'll change the poll if I can.

Well, apparently I can't change the poll questions. I went into "go advanced" and it didn't let me change it.

So, so far in the early stages it looks like those who drive their car relatively hard get below 14 mpg, those who drive aggressively get about 14-15 mpg and a few that drive their cars average get 16-17 mpg average.

For the first 3500 miles I would average about 14 MPG...now at 7.2k miles I'm getting about 16.6. I also got my exhaust after 4k miles so maybe that could've helped. People always tell me I'm an aggresive driver haha

13.2 seems to be my average. i enjoy using the full range of rpm's as much as possible, why wouldn't you not want to?

probably the reason why i drive with the radio muted so much

I just got 300 miles on a tank!!!

It took a lot of highway drving while driving back from Vegas. There were a lot of traffic areas, and the best we got was around 21.2 while the wife was cruising with a pack of cars going around 70-75.

Driven in the city in S mode I get about 11-12 mpg. If I drive in D3 and take it easy on the throttle I can get 15 mpg in the city. Highway driving is 20+.

This is exactly my situation, but I get more like 12.5 mpg
