The failure of the Chrysler acquisition is mostly in part of Mercedes not willing to work with Chrysler. As seen, Chrysler had a lot of potential with the CrossFire and the LX's( which was on a last gen E Class platform). They also tried to mainstream Jeep which was a HUGE no no. Jeep is an off road brand, and what do they do? Give us the POS Liberty, Compass, and Patriot.

the company has compared itself to other automakers as to not have a downgraded line and to fully concentrate on luxury vehicles... exactly contradicting now

Reminds me of situation of the Brillance Jinjue which was also joint venture between BMW and Brillance of China.
