How do I take out the grill?
I bought all black grills and want to change them out, how do I pop out the stock grill without breaking it? Thanks

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47059I installed my Matte black grill this weekend. Easy install get yourself a small flathead screwdriver to compress the tabs on the OEM grill. |

After I was done, it looked like I was trying to commit suicide as my wrists were quite cut up from the sharp plastic.

I had trouble reinstalling the 4 torx screws on the bumper using the method on the forum. It might be easier to put those screws back in if you do that before you push the grill in.

Nawaaz it isn't bad at all... Don't be afraid to use a little force. But make sure when putting them back in that all te tabs are lined up properly on the back. Only took me about 10 min also.

Did mine on Friday...took me 15mins. Looks great! Easy mod! Much better with a darker car with no other silver/chrome highlights on it other than the side vents.

I just did two cars in about 30 min. One was easy, the E46, 330i, 2001. The E92 was a little more difficult.
As others mention for the E92, the clip closest to the headlights is tough. I used a small flat head screw driver. There's also a small, soft plastic/rubber flap near that clip, which you can fold in to make it easier to get your hands in. I ended with two minor knuckle scrapes... |

I need to subscribe to this thread to know who to ask for their stock grilles when mine start to look ugly
. I like the stock grilles. Have a great weekend folks.
