Did you get new wheels w/o TPMS installed? Any gauge will work, but I prefer the needle readout over the stick types. I'd just pick one up from Napa, Autozone, or whatever car parts store is in your area.

If you want to spluge, TR has a nice one that goes inline with the air compressor so you don't have to go back-and-forth from compressor to gauge. It's the "Psiclops XPRS" model.

I use a Longacre, but I think it is around $50

The one you can buy at the BMW dealer is ok quality, and is less money.

I'm looking for a high quality tire pressure gauge that I can just keep in the car. I've only own the stick type of gauge, but I'm not opposed to trying something different, any recommendations? Also kinda curious if digital ones are any good?

The best tire gauges are usually the analog needle type with the rubber hose. I believe http://www.moroso.com/ make some relatively inexpensive models that should work for you.

I just got the one from Amazon.com, like $15 or something like that for a digital one. Has worked great.

yes, they're made by this company in illinois

http://www.ghmeiser.com/

i have one of their dial gauges that's over 20 years old,and it checked out accurate against a new gauge i bought, the ez air that takes an air hose while connected to the tire-

http://www.getagauge.com/Tire-Gauges...age-EZ-Air.cfm

the chuck on the new one wasn't working properly and i called them.they sent a new gauge,no questions asked.

you're welcome.it was a little tricky at first using it.you have to push the chuck firmly onto the tire valve, and if it doesn't seat on there quite right the first time, just release, rotate it a little and push it back on.it's very handy because you can air up with your compressor through the gauge while it's still attached to the tire.

I like my Longacre. I've had it 20 years, and still works great.

^This - Longacre tire gauges are great and very durable (withstand pretty much everything they'd be subjected at the track!). OG Racing carries their full line with the least expensive gauge starting around $23.

Don't forget intercomp.

This is what I have. Very accurate. I wish it had a angle chuck.

I also use the Intercomp 4" gauge. It's very well made and high quality. The 4" gauge makes it very easy to read. I got mine from one of my favorite vendors - TireRack. Their price is great and they have never let me down.

Those look similar to the $25 unit I picked up for my motorcycle:

http://www.cyclegear.com/CycleGear/T.../p/36751_46349

They also offer a military discount.

Thanks for the mention! I also use the Intercomp and it has treated me very well. Having the bleed valve is very convenient, because I'm decent but not perfect at guessing how long it will take to add the desired pressure.

You are welcome! Tirerack has earned my business through great service.

I always over-fill the tires then use the bleed valve to fine-tune the pressure.
