I'd love to see a Bama vs. PSU game in January. Being a die hard, Roll MFing Tide fan and having tons of respect for JoePa, it's a good setup. I was mad when TT skipped over PSA yesterday in the BCS. TT had a great game against Texas but they still have one loss. Just another reason we need a BCS playoff.

Bama still has a tough road to hoe. LSU and Auburn worry me. MSU can be a thorn at times. And Florida in the SEC championship, if we get there, will define the season. Saban, what a difference a coach can make.

I don't see PSU going to the Nat'l championship unless every Big 12 team and Every SEC team ends up with at least 2 losses, their schedule is too weak to compete with those conferences where week in and week out they're playing and beating top ten teams.

Definitely need a playoff. Big10 also needs a 12th team and championship game (although that would be less important in a playoff scenario). I think the Tide should win out down the stretch, but you never know.

I can't wait for the PSU/Bama home-and-home series in 2010 and 2011. I'm dying to travel to Tuscaloosa to experience the tradition down there and try some Archibalds/Dreamland BBQ.

If Penn State is the only undefeated team they are going to Miami. If Penn State is one of two undefeated teams they are almost certainly going to Miami, but there is a slight chance of the scenario you predict. If Penn State is not undefeated then I am

Amen brother! I want an old school-like matchup between Bama and PSU so bad I can't even stand it! The only differences between the 1978 NC and 2008 NC would be that it's held in Miami instead of New Orleans, and JoePa would be facing Nick Saban instead of Bear Bryant himself. I've got so much respect for JoePa, definately my favorite all-time non-Alabama coach, an era in college football will die with him when he is gone. Bama is looking even stronger at this point than it did even a few weeks ago! I have faith we can make it through the rest of the season and SEC CG.

Amen to that too! I have to get Dreamland BBQ every single time I come back to T-town (they even catered Air Force One when Bush came to B'ham). Hopefully I'll be starting grad school at Bama next semester and can get it whenever I want! I'll look forward to those games as well, nothing like two programs with a rich tradition facing each other! If I get the chance, I'd love to go and check out Beaver Stadium too.

Penn State is not going to lose to Iowa, they are NOT going to lose to Indiana and they sure as hell are not going to lose to Michigan State...

And if Michigan State is where you are putting your money, it's the last team that would beat us considering we would sure as hell not allow anything but an undefeated season providing we got that far in the undefeated bracket.

I'm not "putting my money" anywhere. I expect Penn State to win out, but MSU and to a lesser extent Iowa represent a threat. Absent serious injuries PSU should dominate the line of scrimmage in both games and never really be in danger of losing, but there's a reason they play the games.

A new thing I wish they had when I was a student is the BBQ nachos at both the stadium and the Houdstooth. I don't really care for the new Houndstooth as I was a regular at the old one back in the day. It's too new and clean. LOL Them nachos fuggin rock, however.

Bama only needs to worry about Gators. As an LSU/SEC fan, LSU has no weapons against bama this year. Lee is just too new for the system and not good at reading defense and has as much interceptions as touchdowns.

The old one is the only way to go. Not only do you get the full "hole in the wall" experience of the original Dreamland, but the BBQ of the one over in Northport is just flat out not the same. Same goes with the Dreamlands they opened in other cities (Birmingham, Mobile, etc.). Shoot, whenever I want Dreamland, I even drive an hour to Tuscaloosa to get the real thing instead of eating at the imposter one here in B'ham!
