I noticed quite an improvement in the acceleration, between 100mph - 150mph it is much quicker. I really enjoy the sound of the car especially at higher RPM's. Great Exhaust. Here is a Video of the car at 165MPH. You Can Really here the exhaust even with wind noise and the Stereo playing. Thank you Bob@bps!!

Dynos and Videos

Thanks!
Exhaust sound is a very subjective thing. Babaganush feels it is somewhat resonant between 1200 & 2000RPMs. Tightie, on the other hand, says there is no drone and wants it louder. I think the 6MT are going to be less likely to hear any resonance, because we tend not to lug our cars when we are contolling the shift points manually. The DCT tends to shift are very low RPMs, probably in an attempt to maximize gas mileage. I was taken for a test drive in a Mustang today with Borla's #1 selling exhaust and that thing droned like there was a tuba player in the trunk. Actually, it wasn't that bad, but I thought my description would be funny LOL. It was substantially more resonant than the E92 M3 Borla exhaust. The point is, some people are very sensitive to resonance and have no tolerance and others will think it sounds great. The Borla is VERY deep and rich sounding. Much deeper and richer IMO than the Eisenmann Race. Those same low frequencies that make an exhaust sound deep and rich might also make the exhaust sound a bit resonant at very low RPMs.

There ARE plans to dyno, but not any time soon. I can tell you that the connecting pipes are larger than stock and the mufflers are a flow-thru design, so I highly doubt you're going to find a rear section that will provide any better flow.

Regarding trying to record any low frequencies. Check out later in this video went I'm just putting around in auto DCT mode.

I don't think I have any drone to be honest with you guys, I love the sound too. VERY DEEP. I set off car alarms sometimes when I drive by. Only problem is, ITS NOT LOUD ENOUGH! Well, I like really loud cars but for a daily driven car, it sounds great. On a cold start, it sounds like a monster.

Is this a DIY installation? I've never done anything like this, but would like to do it myself.

C17Moosedriver the install is rather simple just make sure that you have WD40 Lubricant for the Rubber Hanger mounts to loosen and install the mufflers and a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to the proper lb. you will also need a 13mm and 15mm Socket. All of this info comes with the install instructions. You will use the same mounting hardware from the original exhaust. Install the ground wire to the same point where the original mount will attach to the Borla Mufflers. You Should not have any problems. Good Luck

Bob stated before that there would be a system for the E90. Very reasonably priced and good sounding system. Something I am highly considering when they are in stock.

+1 waiting for the sedan version.

Bob@BPS - I sent you a PM. Consider an E90 system sold when it's released...

*****Two Week Update******

After 2 weeks since my installation of this new Borla Exhaust & AFE Filter, it is just incredible how well the car has adjusted to them. Everything from acceleration to gearshifts to overall performance has been enhanced. Its like the car has come alive with these mods. These are by far the best mods. I just love the way it sounds, the exhaust tone has also become less droning. Maybe it has "Broken in" or I'm just used to this great new sound. Best Exhaust for the Money. Happy New Year Everyone!!
