Insurance Question

Hey Everybody,

I am sure most of you experienced a jump in prices when buying insurance. As my car is off the boat and arriving at the dealer, I have been researching new quotes. In the past I have been with Farmer's, and their customer service has always been second to none.

However, I found a much cheaper rate with Geico, and now I am wondering, what do you guys think in terms of customer care? Have people used Geico in the past, and have they been easy to deal with?

Given the dynamic of price and customer service, which insurance company have you used in the past? (I am assuming not everybody is jumping for the cheapest quote, but also considering how easy is an insurance company to live with)

Thank you for any responses,
Cheers,

CSL

I have Geico now and used Progressive in the past. I haven't had to file any claims with Geico so my only experience is using their website to make address, vehicle, other changes and pay my bill. So far no complaints. I liked Progressive too but switched to Geico as their rates were cheaper.

My premium increased only about 4% when I went from a 325 to an M3 for the exact same coverage same zip.

I recently switched to Geico as well after having Farmer's on my previous car. Rate's were the lowest I could find for the M3. All the others seemed to be like 2-3X as much as with Geico. Haven't had to file a claim either but I've heard good things about their claim service from others. Doesn't hurt that they're owned by Berkshire Hathaway also

I've had Geico for years equal to some of the young guys age here, they have great rates, customer service and claim... I love roadside too, save me from begging strangers for a jump start

Went from Allstate to Geico due to cheaper rates. The M3 rates are highter but get mitgated a bit if you take an online defensive driver course (never did in the past).

Thank You For Posts

Hey Guys,

thank you for the great comments, I really appreciate it. I went to Geico and got a sweet quote, but the minute they put in my driver's license number, they found all my tickets. That made it cost ~$300 more for 6 months. Thus, my quote ended up being cheaper at Farmer's, because their system did not find my tickets.

Thank you very much again,

CSL

Been with mercury for a bit now and love em... My prems went up less than $10 a month from my 05.5 S4 the the M3 and its still sits at under $100 a month for $100/300K coverage and $500 deductable. I used to have Liberty Mutual when I was younger, they were affordable but lacked a bit on cust service.
