another failed liberal gun control bueracracy that cost tax payers and freedom

New York's 7-year-old database of handgun "fingerprints" has yet to lead to a criminal prosecution, and questions linger about its effectiveness. Still, state police remain committed to the database, saying more time and a long-awaited link to a federal ballistics database could bring success.

Cost to tax payers...yes.....cost to freedom....no. A failed program? Yes.

On another note, the article below does a great job of explaining how criminals get guns. The government and police need to be focusing more on that but the NRA won't have it.

Average time before a handgun is used illegally after purchase: 7-10 years
90% of guns used for crimes in NYC come from out of state

If every state had this system, or something like it, it might actually be more productive.

Why haven't the NRA lobbyists gotten rid of this yet? Maybe you've slacked off on your donation $ this year. Those politicians are expensive.

The NRA needs to send out more mailers and emails on this topic - not enough propaganda out there yet.
