i'm not registered and i can view it no problemos, that's weird. here's an excerpt from the story:

"Stefan Eriksson's famous exotic car collection keeps shrinking.

First, the former European videogame executive's rare Enzo Ferrari was destroyed in a mysterious crash Feb. 21 on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

Then, on Sunday, he lost his 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, valued at more than $400,000. Beverly Hills police confiscated the vehicle after Scotland Yard said the car might have been stolen.

The officers stopped Eriksson's wife, Nicole Persson, 33, about 2:30 p.m. on the corner of Beverly Drive and Wilshire Boulevard because an officer found the car's European license plate suspicious.

The officer then discovered that Persson lacked a driver's license and that the car was not registered in the United States.

it makes me wanna cry when i think how the car was totaled. i'm sure if and when he gets out of jail, some crazy ferrari enthusiast will order to assassinate the idiot. to kill one of only 400 is simply a deadly sin to the ferrari religion.

i'm sure he enjoyed while he could though...

I bet all the other Enzo owners are happy. That's one less on the road and the value of theirs just went up.

CNN is reporting this too: http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/10/fer....ap/index.html

"Detectives concluded that the wrecked Enzo Ferrari -- one of only 400 made -- along with a Mercedes and another Enzo Ferrari in Stefan Eriksson's collection were actually owned by British financial institutions, said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

Eriksson apparently brought the cars to Los Angeles when he moved from Britain last year, but the financial institutions that held the titles said his payments had lapsed."
