e46 M3 and wet driving issues

My bros car got the H&R springs and it's been behaving horribly in the rain. Is this related to the extra stiffness on the spring? The car has been aligned and in the dry runs great. Any suggestions?

Only with springs the car lost it? I though that car could handle such a small change! I'm gonna tell him to take those off.

It could be the tires too. What kind of tires is he using, and is he getting horrible traction when the tires aren't warmed up yet? Also, how does he drive?
