The answer is YES.

As to women and children, they have also been killed in South Ossetia by the Georgian army.

You are still assuming facts that are not in evidence; that the Georgian military intentionally killed innocent civilians.

The best information to date shows a few dozen people were killed in the night prior to the Russian invasion and that number included both combatants and non-combatants. There was no slaughter of civilians in South Ossetia.

But the analogy is clear: both South Ossetians and Iraqi Kurds were separatists and both had innocent family members. In the case of South Ossetia, Russia's involvement prevented a greater slaughter. As to Iraq, the U.S. seemed not to care when the Kurds were allegedly gassed in the 1980s.

Sorry there is no analogy when the situations are so vastly different.

There were 20+ years of slaughter in Iraqi Kurdistan. Nothing even remotely similar was occurring or being threatened in South Ossetia.

Do u really feel safer now that the US army is fighting a no win situation in Iraq? Those poor soldiers must be really dispensable to the Bush administration to make sure that his buddies get billions out of rebuilding the place they just blew up. How many pissed of orphans are going to find their way to the states as innocent refugees/students to exert their revenge in 5 maybe even 10 years time? Forget about the lies told to US public to justify the war, what about the innocent lives lost on both sides in the greedy pursuit of power? the repercussions of the Bush administrations fuck up is still to come.
