Sorry Nate.
Shouldn´t have made the post.

The box is really nice, but i´m still waiting for one that we can see inside.
The price for this box is to much.

Best Regards, Maika

Looks great but price is outrageous. For that amount of CF it should be roughly $500. Is this at a premium simply b/c they think people with Ms have money to simply burn?

what this seems to be is the STOCK intake plenum with the top portion overlayed in carbon fiber. Its not the whole thing most definitely and will not offer any performance gain what so ever. Sheerly just a looks pretty.....

I'm sorry, but that is a terrible waste of money.

way to expensive. If it was 1,000 ill bite. But 4,000 is just a waste of money IMO, esp. when you hardly get to see it.

It would be nice to have a Co. make an UPGRADED intake plenum instead of dealign with all these minor intakes here and there IMO

IF the air box was the CSL air box then that would be interesting (not sure what it looks like or what the differences are) It is on a drawing somewhere in Germany !

The full Gruppe M intake is only $2,400 !

The air box does appear to have added volume, or so it says.

also, given all the problems people are having with the CF grilles bubbling and warping due to the heat of the engine bay, what are the odds of the same thing happening to the CF air box?

depends if the people who make it cheap out on the clearcoat like they did with the CF grilles or if they hastily make it without care and attention.

I think a $2,000 MSRP would work with real world pricing coming in at like $1,800. Granted, I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to the cost to create perfect CF. However, I doubt the variable cost to produce a single airbox is upwards of even $1,000 (not including R&D and base fixed costs of operation).

What I do know is that it's really difficult to break even and profit against R&D and operations costs when your sales = goose egg.
