M3 Driver in a E350 wagon vs. a Ferrari Modena

I pull up to a light with my wife in a Flint Grey 2006 E350 Mercedes station wagon. There is a red Ferrari Modena next to me and the driver looks very serious look on his face. So the light turns green (mind you it is an wide road with a posted speed limit of 55), I hit floor the 350 just for fun. The Ferrari guy realizes it and guns it. I think he mis-shifted because he went by me but I was only a car length ahead when we backed off the throttle. We hit the next light, I go for it it again for kicks. He stalls the car and eventually catches up and we again slow down. We never really went much past 75. But the best part is all the cars behind us including SUVs and Civics were laughing their butts off because even though the Ferrari could crush my wagon w/o trying, the driver obviously did not know how to shift. And it looked like a close race ) A few other Ferraris behind him (they must have been driving as a group) went by and gave me a thumbs up. My wife who would normally be punching me for being an idiot was also laughing her ass off. It was a good time all around.

No kidding. Funny thing is I thought he would laugh me off and not even try. It is like a seal trying to fight a Polar bear. In the artic, it is pretty obvious who would win and when Polar bears are not hungry, they don't even bother trying to kill seals.

LOL, except for the guy in the Civic behind the Ferrari after it stalled out at the light.

Probably the only thing that would suck about owning a Ferrari is that every Tom, Dick, and Harry would be itching for a go at red lights.
