Latest two mods

Okay got the Eisienmann Sport exhaust done about 3 weeks ago. Last week ordered LED Xenon interior lighting (still waiting t install and get good pics) and brushed steel pedals from www.modbargins.com.

Installed the pedals last night and it was pretty easy. Took about an hour and 1 drill bit sacrificed to the M3 pedal gods. BTW the brake pedal is steel and WILL break a bit or two as they said. Anyway you just take the rubber pedals off and then align and clamp the new pedals and mark/drill and enlarge your holes then fit and tighten! :0 Look pretty nice to me...but your thoughts r more than welcome. Did look at Ultimate pedals too but chose these as they just seemed to fit better to me.

Next up was my tint...went with the Pinnacle Formula 1 tint since I have comfort access, Nav, and Sat radio and it's advertised NOT to interfere with the cars electronics. So far so good...cell phone, bluetooth, Sat radio, GPS all work fine. Got the 35% tint as it was classy but not too dark and also well within my state's tint laws. (Previously had a darker tint 25% before on my old 325ix years ago and hated it at night...had to drive with the windows down or so it felt.) Got a 10% discount as a BMW CCA member and Tint looks very good so far...is still drying, I know. Will have to watch the windows as the car has the auto-lower feature when you open them and they said to keep em up for 48hrs at least. Shop used vinyl stip to cover the back area up top with the bubbles/dimples in the window...looks pretty nice (they say tint sticks very poorly in that area).

Here are some preliminary pics for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy

Thanks guys! Much appreciated. Ash tray delete tomorrow AM and fixing my M3 emblem at the dealer tomorrow AM is next. yeah looks like someone tried to abscond off with my M3 emblem as it was hanging off losely right before my 1200 mi service after I parked it at a local Metro the week after I got it when I had some days of duty at the Pentagon. Wife thinks somebody tried to roll off with it...could it be soo??

Will see you guys at Chapterfest on Sat...but on a sadder note that will be it for me and my M3 for awhile. Got notified I am being deployed to Afghanistan or "the sandbox" as we military types call it. Head out likely right after labor day so my posts will be from afar even tho I'll be with you in spirit guys!

PS....trickle charger already on order 10mins after I got the word! LOL

mdrobc13,

Sorry to hear about the emblem. At least it's a cheap thing to fix. Otherwise, that's a sharp looking car. I believe 35% is the darkest that's still legal in MD. BTW, my sister used to live in Bowie. I'm in central MD.

You keep your head low over in the sandbox and come back safely. And thanks for your service.

Cheers,

Ersin

See you at ChapterFest on Saturday! Sorry to hear that you are off to the box....I hate hearing about it.

The TINT looks really dark even at the correct and LEGAL color! HA! Looks great! The pedals too...those seem to be the general ones to get.

M

p.s. I'll have the WB M3 at the chapterfest

Thanks....its not that bad but yes is darker than I thought slightly. But then again its easier to go darker and lighten than the other way around right? LOL I have a full warranty on it so I am sure if I have problems with either my comfort access and/or the tint; the LA tint guys will fix it for me. 50% was a thought but man i really was lighter than I thought but on second thought...hmmm!

Pedals always make a nice edition to any car. I always hated the rubber pedals. I got Hamann Pedals in my E46 M3.
