I believe we spoke briefly at the Vogelweh PX parking lot. You got the 6spd manual because your 335i was an auto and I am the opposite, 335i used to be 6spd, now driving the MDCT.

I did had a chance when I did ED last month but the car was still in break-in mode. I did reach 140 mph for a very very short time just to see and feel how the car will handle.

OK guys I have an update. Sad to say mine does have a limiter. It feels like what someone else said. You just have let off the gas a little

The 155 mph limit set by BMW is voluntary. It's sort of a gentlemen's agreement between some of the manufacturers in Germany. However, they fudge a bit for the M3. That, plus the fact that the speedo reads high means that the M3 will hit 165 or thereabouts on the speedometer when the governor kicks in.

There are aftermarket "chips" for the M3 (or there will be, not sure yet) that will remove the limiter. It seems that the M3 will hit at least 190 mph without the limiter. I can't wait to see the first Youtube video with a GPS showing 195 in an M3.
