depends on the drive. I have seen a 330i at 5.7 and 6.2. I like the A4 generation with the square tailights and the body style with the S4 turbo best. Those cars drive like a drivers car way more than the new one. I think its the B7 which is what you used to have. I can not remember the code though.

Is this the one your talking about? If so, thats the B6. If you are talking about even squarer tail lights, then maybe you are talking about the B5. I think you are talking about the B5, because thats when the S4 was a turbo 6.

It's a nice car, but I worry about reliability. Know a lot of Audi owners who aren't repeat buyers because of that.

it might depend on the engine break-in, weather conditions, timer, and driver

reliability is fine if you look at the newer b7 model it shows much improvement over the b6 model (under 2005.5) 2007 + shows almost perfect on consumer reports, and true delta survey is the same. it shows that it is more or the same reliable as the 3 series

bad reliability is just a bad stereotype given to Audi

Love the look of the new A4! That's one of the cars on my list when my lease is up in 17 months. Hopefully by then the prices & lease deals will be better.

My tester was a 2.0T quattro with tiptronic, premium, technology package, driveselect but no sport package.

Drive select tightens up the steering and suspension dampening as well as quicker throttle response (you now have four throttle mappings as it's Drive Select - comfort and sport - x two transmission modes)

The standard MMI is a bit awkward to use as it's mounted on the console instead of the navigation version where its moved down to near the shifter and armrest.

The Audi Sideassist is neat in concept but come on .. are you really that lazy that you won't check your blindspots or adjust your mirrors properly? Also i'm really afraid of seeing how much those mirrors would cost you if you knock them off in a parking accident.

I love hte look of the new A4 but it was not a very involving test drive. The exterior looks nice but the lack of S-line in the 2.0 versions disappointed me. The wheel selections are not hte greatest. The interior looks great as well but it didn't feel "luxurious" (don't hate me but hte Lexus IS gave me that feeling).. at least in my E90 with its spartan interior I still felt like my money was going towards something. Just the same, overall the car didn't blow me away which is what I was hoping this car would do. And as mentioned before, the E90 still drives better (although the E90 is more harsh) I'll wait for a mid model refresh to see what a fully loaded 2.0 S-line would look and feel.

Only good thing bout the A4 compared to the 335xi is better AWD.

Better looking maybe for most. Way too less powered.

Personally I am very disappointed with BMW's X-drive. The lag time on acceleration is awful.

I personally think a new B8 platform A4 2.0T S-line, in white..with a StaSIS aftermarket suspension/wheels/tires, and a stage 3 performance kit would be very nice. I am probably looking into it after my 335. I would gladly give away some performance...for a fresh look...better gas mileage...and quattro. hks..you got those fotos handy?

Something like this

And regarding the AWD, I'm reserving judgment until winter to fully compare Quattro vs Xdrive. But I know the Quattro wasn't as rough as XD over bumps, but the XD feels a little sportier with its 60/40 split.
then why did they copy BMW's X-Drive and send more to the rear wheels now? I have sold both and do not like the understeer that is inherent to Audi. The rougher ride on the BMW has everything to do with RFT's

I have said before that I didn't like the look of the new A4, compared to the A5 it looks too long. But yesterday I saw my first A4 S-Line and what a difference an aggressive bodykit can make to a sorry to say it 'dull' looking car.

For those of you in the USA who haven't seen the S-Line kit and haven't ordered yet, hold one, it will be worth it.

it's the same in the US, that S-line is only for the 3.2. but then again, they only have tiptronic and no manual transmission option. I think there's more to come in the next year or so with the B8

like footie said, wait for it. the pics posted by s4to335 look pretty hot.
