VentureShield on Jet Black?

Has anyone tried VentureShield on a Jet Black M3 or any other car?

I saw it applied at the dealership on an Interlagos Blue Metallic M3 and it wasn't all that pretty as it only covered about 1/4 of the front hood and the border was visible.

I'm wondering how much worse these border lines would be on a Jet Black with 1/4 front hood covering (which is what the dealership proposed to me)

Would the fullhood coverage cause any problems, in terms of heat or other?

Any suggestions, advice or pictures would be appreciated
Thanks
