You should have no problems getting one. My '08 has been fantastic.

I'd also try Arizona or FL too if you can get around looking.

I have an 09 M3 Sedan in Alpine White with Fox Red Interior, 29,000km that might be up for sale soon. Let me know if you're interested.

Glenn
I have tried wheels + on 97 street( N of 51 ave). They balanced my track wheels, put on my Vredersteins on my x5, put the Vredersteins on my M3 , balanced my daughers car. Good equipment ( Hunter) and did good work. I had to work them pretty hard to get the price that i wanted on my Vredersteins but they came through.
I like the Vredersteins better than PS2's as rain tires and I used them at Road Atlanta on my last day because the R compounds were worn out. They handled the track very well and were very predictable.
Maybe you'll want the cups in the spring. Im selling them because I am not going to track my M3 anymore. I purchased a dedicated P track car so I can keep the M3 in good condition and take it out on sunny days . We'll see how long that lasts.
We'll see.

What P car did you get Felix?

The CUPS are pretty aggressive tires for a dd car. The PS2 are prob a better compromise for my driving needs

I'll go to Wheels+ and see how it goes.

Did they negotiate on the tires based on Tire Rack pricing? That is my reference for reasonable tire prices.

I don't know if any one is interested but I'll have my Winter Setup(OEM 219m + Blizzaks) from my M3 up for sale soon. Looks like I'm leaving the M Crowd and going X5 Diesel. PM me if interested. I also have a full set of Weathertech Digitalfit Floorliners available for E90 fitment.

Why a diesel Jackson? Why not the X5 in the 50i trim? That thing hauls ass.

Make sure you like the diesel sound, it still sounds like one contrary to what BMW is promoting. I've heard it up close.

Diesel gas is almost same as premium too so the old deal is not such a good deal in terms of a double reward on gas and mileage.

I've always liked diesel and I don't mind the clatter. On average I pay around $1.06 for Premium at Esso and going off of Edmontongasprices.com, I can find diesel for around 9cents cheaper sometimes. Not a lot but it adds up plus the 85l tank is nice for long hauls and general laziness about filling up. lol

I can for sure hear it on startup and idle but I had no issues while cruising. It will be a hell of a lot quieter then the M with the Meisterschaft for sure. hehe I thought about the 50i but I'm trying to save money on gas. I still have the Porsche for fun days.

How's your M in winter so far? I was doing pretty well tilll the last dumb and I almost got owned trying to go uphill on 105 St NW going into downtown.

You won't regret it. We picked up a 2011 X5 diesel in azurite black with 20's...the clatter is really insignificant in the cabin and the ride with the 20's is awesome. We put 20" Pirelli Ice and Snow's on and they are working out brilliantly. My wife has been getting 650km in stop and go traffic into downtown, while regular use on freeways we are around 750km.

I think we would do better on mileage if the shifter wasn't in DS mode 24/7 and I wasn't trying to use all that torque all the time. It's a good vehicle and the fuel is a bonus!

Man I wish I had a triple garage....

I think I am gonna save my sheckles for a certain twin turbo V8 sedan in 2012

I wanna scare the hell out out every exotic in Edmonton when they get beat down by a grocery getter.

2thdr: I think I noticed some of your post on Xbimmers/Xoutpost. Yeah, I'm really happy with the diesel so far. I actually picked up a platinum gray one last night. It came with 18s but I plan on going 20's for summer and I'll be blacking out the vehicle as well. hehe

sparkyg: Clue? This sounds exciting... I haven't been paying much attention to automotive news lately.

That diesal engine in the 3 series and X5 is an awesome engine!!! It was tested by some mags of actually having closer to 525 lbs ft of torque stock, about 100 more than the published numbers!! I owned the 335d in the past and loved that car mainly for that engine's torque and always thought it would be the ideal engine for the X5. Why anyone would buy the X5 in any other engine is beyond me given its fuel savings to boot.

azorian , I purchased a 4.8l last year and did not go with the diesel because of the issue of the urea freezing up. I checked a couple of weeks ago at the dealer and they are still getting diesels in with frozen urea. Of course the fix is simple but if you are on a long trip this could be disasterous. I am ocassionally travelling to Ft. McMurry and High Level and there is no way that I was going up there with the potential of the urea freezing and me stuck on the road.
Not to say that the 4.8 is flawless , with the crankcase ventilation freezing up, but this vehicle has been better than the E53 4.4 which had the same engine. I haven't had any freezeups yet at 80,000km .

Glenn;
I forgot to answer your question about the P car. I purchased a 2002 996 C2, track prepped. Full cage, stipped of anything extra. I am going to keep it so that it can be used in the 996 race class.

Interesting, I had no problems at all with the urea tank freezing up on my 335d. I use to park outside at work last winter when the temps reached 30 below and had no issues. I wonder if the urea tank on the X5d is in an area not as insulated from the cold like it is in the 335d?

M5 bud. 550+hp 500+ ft-lbs torque, think about that. Nothing else on the road like it.

FWIW, I have had it parked outside intentionally this past month when the wind chills were below -30C. Never had a problem. But, YMMV depending on where you are, I suppose.

The AA flash is pretty good. No big issues with mine. It is a small change.

Better option is a full Akra exhaust. It is a huge kick in the ass change across the RPM range.

Then get the ESS flash for the Akra exhaust.

Or get a blower, lol
