DCT Jerking in while accelerating in 1st

does anyone else's DCT M3 occasionally start jerking while accelerating in drive mode from 1st gear???

I was in stop and go traffic coming home from LI yesterday and I just left it in D1. Seemed to have solved my problem.

a new DCT "issue" or "annoyance" thread every day.

coming from manual this is what i would try (i have never driven DCT so i dont know) but i was try to step on the gas gradually. M3 even in manual can jerk like a motherfucker in 1st gear, especially with sport plus throttle. try to slowly get on gas until u get the hang of it then u'll be able to drive it normally once u get used to it. i used to jerk like hell even *after* smooth engagement of gear/launch (i.e. i would take off smoothly, ditch the clutch, still smooth, then when i step on it it will jerk like hell)

It's not throttle bounce that you are experiencing is it? I get it on my 6MT if I have the POWER mode enabled for the more sensitive accelerator pedal and I hit a bump which causes my foot to press on the pedal slightly and then let off. Then it becomes a vicious cycle making you look like you don't know how to drive a manual. In some situations I still manage to do this so when I'm driving around the city most of the time I leave that damn POWER button off (See in my sig where FTW button is, that's the POWER button I'm referring to).

yes it does happen in a 335i aswell...

usually when i come to a stop sign in full auto mode, and i get on the gas again, i get a sudden jerk and then its normal again.

yah i get that from time to time. i used to get it a lot more, but u get used to the car get to learn when to push and when not. it drove me nuts, forces u to clutch in and change gear so u dont fuck up the drivetrain

idk whats wrong with it, but now whenever it happens i just shift up and it stops...but its kinda embarrasing because whenever a nice car pulls up to me or i really wanna go fast...i put the M button on and i have EVERYTHING set to sport...and then i just start jerking around and i just lost a race i could've easily won!
