M3 sighting in Seattle - M3 Forum 2010 2009 BMW M3 2008 BMW M3 BMW E90 M3 E92

Hadn't seen any M3's on the road until last week, and my first sighting wasn't a good one.

Black (Dirty JB or Jerez, not sure) pulled off the left shoulder on I-5 south near Boeing Field. Hazards on.

I couldn't tell if he was there for breakdown, speeding, or just making a call, but was kind of a blow to my confidence in the car.

Someone please tell me you were just taking a leak or something!

Eh, drove through there again yesterday. Noticed the view. It was probably someone from out of town stopping to snap pics of Mount Rainier.

I finally saw my first M3 in the wild. It was at the Microsoft Building in Redmond Town Center. It was a white M3 Coupe, with black interior/carbon leather, and 19". It had Oregon plates..

Looked awesome

Heh. That just reminded me. Went to Larry's Market in Redmond Town Center last Friday to pick up some wagyu steaks and low and behold there was another E92 Jerez M3 parked out in the boonies. That's the 2nd M3 I've seen in the wild. Both happened to be Jerez and both happened to be spotted parked WAY in the back of a grocery store parking lot. The other was a couple weeks before I took delivery of mine at Central Market in Mill creek near where I live.

I listed my location as Seattle but I do almost all my driving (home, work, daycare, errands, etc.) between Snohomish and Newcastle on the Eastside of the lake.

I'm still surprised that I don't see more M3's around Microsoft, though.

I saw another one.. This time, I saw a gray sedan on I-5 when I was driving up to Vancouver-near Mount Vernon. There was a lot of traffic, but he was manging to do 70-80.

The exhuast noise was very distinctive.

I do most of my driving north of Seattle and I have never seen another 2008 M3. Lots of older M3s, a few new 335i.

I got my space grey back in April. I live downtown. I've seen quite a few actually. White, jerez black and graphite coupe's and a black sedan. So that makes 5 including mine!

Same here in Portland. Only time I've seen another on the road was at a BMW club drive.

Did you get yours at BMW Seattle? There was a Space E92 with DCT there being set up for delivery the day I took the E90 for a drive. Nice car, and no, they wouldn't let me drive it.

One of my co-workers saw one in Black doing "laps" on Mercer Island a week or so ago, I still haven't seen any since the I-5 sighting.

Yes I did get it from BMW Seattle. If you saw it back in April, then yep it was mine. First one with DCT. :-)

Maybe we'll meet someday on 148th. Don't race me though. I purchased the M-DCT so I can only drive it at '80 percent'.
