Sanctity of Life Act of 2007

Sanctity of Life Act of 2007

Official: To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception. as introduced.

Short: Sanctity of Life Act of 2007 as introduced.
2/15/2007--Introduced.

Sanctity of Life Act of 2007 - Declares that:

(1) human life shall be deemed to exist from conception, without regard to race, sex, age, health, defect, or condition of dependency; and

(2) the term "person" shall include all such human life. Recognizes that each state has authority to protect the lives of unborn children residing in the jurisdiction of that state . Amends the federal judicial code to remove Supreme Court and district court jurisdiction to review cases arising out of any statute, ordinance, rule, regulation, or practice, or any act interpreting such a measure, on the grounds that such measure:

(1) protects the rights of human persons between conception and birth; or

(2) prohibits, limits, or regulates the performance of abortions or the provision of public funds, facilities, personnel, or other assistance for abortions. Makes this Act applicable to any case pending on the date of enactment.

Pro-life will not be just a campaign slogan for the Baldwin Adminstration. As President, He will immediately work with Congress to pass the Sanctity of Life Act which would strip the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court in all cases involving the life of an unborn child. When that happens the unborn child would once again be declared a person under the law and cannot be harmed without due process of law. Appointing Pro-life Supreme Court Justices will no longer give the Republican’s a phony rallying cry and the evil deeds of the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973 will be set aside.

Thanks. It was intended for the political forums. My mistake.

Not sure if I agree with this.

I agree that Life is precious, but if a woman's body self-aborts the zygote/embryo - is she responsible for murder?

There are a number of complications or problems that may cause the body to reject the embryo, fetus, zygote, until the birth of a newborn baby.

Also - During a complicated childbirth, if a doctor has to choose between saving a woman or child, the doctor always chooses saving the woman's life. does this make him a murderer?

This pro-life legislation (well-intended from the political far right) would open up a number of issues that I would not want to bring up.

In every description I have heard in such cases, mis-carriage is not in any way held against the mother. And in choosing who is to survive in the "complicated childbirth" scenario, you would likely save the mother. Perhaps one factor would be based on who is most likely to survive. How many such "complicated childbirths" happen in the United States?

So far over 40 million babies are known to have been killed in the womb in the United States since 1973. This holocaust must end.

I would take them and start an adoption agency. They would be far better off than dead.

That depends on how many of the 40 million babies you'll taking in. Let me know when you get your baby stadiums up and running. I think I still have a diaper genie and box of burp cloths somewhere, your also free to those.

Great! Now we need to get this amendment on the books so that we can start populating those stadiums.

Isn't there a shortage of babies to meet the demand for adoptions? Or are there too many babies for the adoption agencies to handle? If there is an oversupply of babies, we should be able to put something together to help. If not you and me alone, then in conjunction with our churches.

I think we need to open the floodgates and get some babies saved out of a horrible death. Give life a chance.

Gianna Jessen's Biography

Gianna's biological mother was 17 when she had a saline abortion in her third trimester. Many Americans donít realize it is legal to have an abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy. After being burned alive for approximately 18 hours in the womb from the saline solution, Gianna was delivered alive in a Los Angeles County abortion clinic. Her medical records state, "born during saline abortion"...this is what caused her Cerebral Palsy.
There is a very well written article in The Wallstreet Journal that gives more detail.

Jodie Percival delighted her baby, Finlay, survived an abortion

"A MOTHER who decided to abort her son because he may have inherited a life-threatening kidney condition is overjoyed that he survived the procedure."

Does the United States or her citizens have the right to determine whether Iranians still in the womb have the right to live? Do they already have the right to life in Iran? I am guessing that they do, but I could be wrong.
