How to get rid of (not turn off) assist window?
so every time i use gps i have two screens showing me the exact same info/display, how do i get rid of the smaller window? I tried turning it off in i=drive but it just went into black square mode, i also did look in the manual but no luck, thx

you cannot turn it off. you can make it black, but you can never get full screen. you can click on it to select something else like current position, fuel data, etc.

how do you get split screen (right side)?
I would like turn-by-turn route info on the right side and map on the left. Currently I have a black screen on the right and when I go to entertainment it covers the map. I have not figured how to get turn-by turn instructions on the navi it just pops up on the right when a turn is up soon but I like to see the distance to the next turn etc.. |

When you see the empty box on the right, hit your idrive button to the right and you'll get the empty box highlighted. Click it and select one of the options like "show map oriented north". Then you can go back to the left side and put whatever up there.
