Okay - how do you like this list of US Aggression?
Korea and China 1950-53, Cuba 1959-1961, Laos 1964-73, Vietnam 1961-73, Cambodia 1969-70, Grenada 1983, Lebanon 1983-84, Libya 1986, Iran 1987, Panama 1989, Iraq 1991, Somalia 1993, Bosnia 1994, 1995, Sudan 1998, Afghanistan 1998, Yugoslavia 1999, Iraq 1991-2003, Iraq 2003-05, Afghanistan 2001-05

So - if we short list to 1991: US attacks = 11 (have to include Cuba because CIA and US forces were directly and indireclty involved).... Okay - let's not include Cuba because I am giving the US the benefit of doubt....

So - Direct attacks by US Forces: 10 by accepting ganeil's logic.

Direct attacks by USSR forces: 3 because the Sino-Soviet war was started by the Chinese when a group of Chinese troops ambushed Soviet border guards on Zhenbao Island. The Soviets suffered 31 dead and 14 wounded. This occured on March 2, 1969.

Final score: USA 10 - Soviet Union 3.

So the US is more than 3 times more aggressive and dangerous than the Soviet Union.

US attacks since 1991: 8. Damn - the US seems to be accelerating it's aggression!

Because the US has the wherewithal to project its influence globally. Canada unfortunately can only pick on defenseless baby animals. Proud of you. Go sharpen your hakapick.

Again in Korea, Cuba, Grenada, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia the US RESPONDED to Soviet sponsored aggression so you wou have to add them to the their column. After the Cold War, the US generally responded at the request of allies (or UN) to aggression against another nation. The exceptions would be Panama, Afghanistan, and Iraq were we responded to a declaration of war, an attack on our nation, and a failure to abide by a cease fire agreement respectively.

US attacks against other nations since WWII:
Korea and China 1950-53, Guatemala 1954, Indonesia 1958, Cuba 1959-1961, Guatemala 1960, Congo 1964, Laos 1964-73, Vietnam 1961-73, Cambodia 1969-70, Guatemala 1967-69, Grenada 1983, Lebanon 1983-84, Libya 1986, El Salvador 1980s, Nicaragua 1980s, Iran 1987, Panama 1989, Iraq 1991, Somalia 1993, Bosnia 1994, 1995, Sudan 1998, Afghanistan 1998, Yugoslavia 1999, Yemen 2002, Iraq 1991-2003, Iraq 2003-05, Afghanistan 2001-05

and maybe we can add Iran for 2008....

So a total of: 27 and possible +1 if Iran is attacked.

Soviet Attacks: 4

US attacks if we stop counting in 1991 when USSR fell: 18

The US practices State Terrorism.
Thanks man, I wanted to hear that from a robot there that believes every murder we did around the world (and we did millions which is many times more than ANY other dictatorship has done since the WW2) is plain justified...

I took Cuba out - gave the benefit of doubt.

The others involved US Forces directly. There were no direct Soviet Forces involved.

US Attacks 10 - Soviet Attacks 3.

US is "worser" than the USSR.

Only if you equate responding to an attack with an attack. FWIW, there is ample evidence that Soviet forces were directly involved in both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts both manning combat aircraft and on the ground as advisers.

What are they waiting for -- there's plenty more:
Protect Palestinians, Zimbabwe, Checnyans...

How did we protect Muslims in Kosovo -- by illegaly attacking a sovereign country, killing thousands civilians, then giving them the land that never was their??? It would be fair to do the same for Palestine...

I still don't get it? Are we supposed to care that the U.S. has "attacked" these other countries that you have listed?

I think enfield should be worried about his own country. A couple years back there was a huge outcry due to Canada having a warship. What is Canada planning to do with that warship? THEY CAN DO ANYTHING WITH THAT ALMIGHTY FRIGATE! THE US SHOULD BE INVADING CANADA NOT IRAQ!

trust me.. ain't no bombing that embassy now...

I drive by it to go to my gf's place

2 military check points (that I know of)... 4 tanks (that I can see)
army dudes crawling all over the place... and getting in to the base requires A LOT of fire power..

it's more guarded than some military encampments that I've seen...

and they always bust my balls about my tints cuz they are bored...

why us consider itself as the saver of the other nations, why japan or germany or etc.. doesn't put themselves into the same role. I think US needed to control those countries because they should be collaborator against any possible U.S enemies. There could be lots of reasons, in Iraq it was oil. In eastern europe it can be russia. In Africa it can be missionary works, I don't know.
